The state of Goa in India is famous for its beaches and places of worship. Tourism is its main industry, and with a decline in domestic tourist activity in general, it is concentrated in the coastal areas of Goa. Goa, also known as the 'Pearl of Orient', is known as Konkan on the west coast of India. During the day goa tourist places the sun, sea, and surf and at night its entertainment, fish, and fanny.



1. Calangute Beach 



Calangute is a town in the North Goa District, famous for its beaches. The beach is the largest in North Goa and has been visited by thousands of domestic and international tourists. The Calangute Beach is one of the best places to visit in Goa and is also famous for the various water sports and activities that host it. Beach offers water sports activities such as parasailing and water skiing, banana riding, jet skiing, among others.



2. Chapora Fort



It was the site of a fort called Shahpura, built by the Muslim ruler Adil Shah, which was renamed Chapora by the Portuguese. It is now a popular tourist destination, with Pernem across the Chapora River in the north, Vagator in the south, and the Arabian Sea in the west. This goa tourist place is known for its spectacular views and sunset vista, it is a popular destination for tourists especially in the evening. Located on the Chapora River, this ancient Latin fort, though long neglected from a military point of view, is nevertheless a magnificent and enduring historical monument.



3. Basilica of Bom Jesus



The Basilica is located in Old Goa, the former capital of Portuguese India, and contains the remains of St. Francis Xavier. 'Bom Jesus' is the name used for Ecce Homo in Portuguese colonial countries. The Basilica of Boom Jesus is famous for the safe human remains of St. Francis Xavier. The Basilica of the Bom Jesus is India's first modest church and is considered to be one of the finest examples of decorative architecture in India.



4. Pandava Caves



The Arvalem Caves are known as the "Pandava Caves". According to history, five Pandavas of the epic Mahabharata sought refuge in these caves during their exile. The Arvalem Caves are very typical of the Buddhist cave style. The architecture of the caves is simple but still attractive. Thus, the natural beauty of the background and their legendary significance make these caves the center of attention one of the best places to visit in Goa.



5. Mangeshi Temple



The Mangeshi Temple in Goa is one of the most famous places to visit in Goa. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Manguesh, the incarnation of Shiva. Lord Mangesh is worshiped here as Shiva Ling. According to legend, Shiva appeared in the lion to scare his wife Parvati. Hearing these words, Shiv returned to his normal form. The Sanskrit words "mam girisha" became associated with Shiva and over time these words became shorter than manguesh.
